| As a fog bank rolled in from Fundy Bay, darkness settled and overhead sunlight hit the grassy ledge and red beach. Many artists have painted this spot. It has a universal attraction. One friend recalled how as a child she collected dulse from the beach and sun-dried it to eat like potato chips. | I enjoyed the sun warming my back and the smell of the clam flats as I painted this work. The lighthouse-like building at the end of the spit is abandoned. As I painted I speculated about what it would be like to live in it surrounded by sea life. |
