Swallowdale

In this book the children return to the lake for a second summer's
adventures. They intend to camp on the island as before and ask nothing more than to do
exactly as they did the first summer. However a bad bit of judgment while doing some
tricky boat handling changes their plans and they find themselves camping out in a hidden
valley above the lake, while the crew of the "Amazon" find they must cope with a
Great Aunt who is a decidedly different type of relative from Captain Flint. Some good sailing here, with some good seamanship lessons. A great book. (tm) $14.95 |
